Age 9, Millet
Gage is an explorer through and through. Whether it’s outside with his horse, Spike, or inside building Lego®, he loves creating and figuring out how things work. Gage needed brain surgery at the Stollery as an infant after his skull fused too early. When his brother Beau was born five years later, his family returned to the Stollery after Beau had a major brain bleed shortly after being born. After spending more than five weeks at the Stollery and undergoing multiple brain surgeries, Beau passed away peacefully in his parent’s arms. Gage once again relied on Stollery care – this time for his mental health. There are No Bounds to the support the Stollery continues to provide Gage and his family.
“The Stollery means hope on the hard days.” – Brettany and Russel, Gage’s parents
